Hello and welcome to Wag 'n' Walks, based in Guildford. I'm Karl, this is my wife Louise and we hope that you will enjoy our website!
I had been working within IT for various companies when, after 20 years of corporate life, realised that sitting in an office, often without windows, was not for me.
I have always had a love of dogs. When I was 7, my parents brought home our first family dog, a cocker spaniel we named Toffee. Since then I have owned many different breeds and have offered both dog walking and pet care service to friends and neighbours who didn't like the idea of their beloved pets being housed in kennels while they were away.
When we began our search for someone to look after our own dogs it became apparent that many of the companies advertising pet services were middle men and franchises.
To us, this wasn't personal care, but a way in which a company could maximise their profits. Often we were told that we wouldn't get to meet the person caring for our dogs and that it could be a different person each time.
We felt this wasn't enough and we certainly didn't feel comfortable about handing over the care of our dogs to someone we had never met or who had taken the chance to get to know them.
We decided that we wanted to create a business that would not only combine our love of animals and the British countryside, but also provide a personal touch to pet care. And so, Wag ‘n’ Walks was born.
With Wag ‘n’ Walks you can leave your furry family member in the comfort of either your own home or ours, and know that they are still getting the love and affection they need.
